Weakness

"What feels best for you may not be best for the people around you. For that matter, it may not be good for you either. Someone with genuine self-esteem understands that self-fulfillment is not about self-satisfaction. Thus he is willing to deny his own desires for the sake of the future, for the sake of the people around him, and for the sake of his immortal soul."

Sitting and doom scrolling mindlessly sometimes feels better than a heart felt conversation with my husband.

Eating a box of macarons sometimes feels better than eating a salad.

Your marriage fails or your health deteriorates not because of one choice but a series of choices.  Turning away from God isn't one act but a series of them.  Break the chain of actions and choices the next time you want to choose the easy over the good.  If you find yourself in a loop without the ability to break out lift that up to God. St. Paul tells us, "...'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9 RSVCE

God's power is made perfect in weakness.  Humbly come before him and express that weakness to him!
