Prayers for August 2023

“Consecrating ourselves to Mary means accepting her help to offer ourselves and the whole of mankind to him who is holy, infinitely holy; it means accepting her help—by having recourse to her motherly heart, which beneath the cross was opened to love for every human being, for the whole world—in order to offer the world, the individual human being, mankind as a whole, and all the nations to him who is infinitely holy” (St. Pope John Paul II, May 13, 1982). 

Please consider a consecration if you are not currently consecrated.  I will bold those start dates below. If these dates don't work for you, here is a handy list for other consecration dates.   

I will be doing the following novenas: Mary Undoer of Knots to come into the church and St. Monica for the conversion of my children.

August is the month of the The Immaculate Heart! 

August 2nd consider a novena to St. Clare of Assisi for healing of eye diseases and for clear weather at weddings. Feast day is August 11th.

August 2nd consider a novena to St. Philomena to conceive a child and for children and the youth. Feast day is August 11th.

August 5th consider a novena to St. Maximilian Kolbe for prisoners and for those suffering from addiction. Feast day is August 14th.

August 6th consider a novena for the Assumption for the Blessed Mother's intercession. Feast day is August 15th.

August 6th consider a novena to Mary Undoer of Knots for freedom from various 'knots' in life. Feast day is August 15th.

August 6th consider a Marian consecration for the Nativity of Mary which is on September 8th.

August 7th consider a novena to St. Roch for healing from illness. Feast day is August 16th.

August 8th consider a novena to Our Lady of Knock for the Blessed Mother's intercession. Feast day is August 17th.

August 10th consider a Marian consecration for the Holy Name of Mary which is on September 12th.

August 13th consider a Marian consecration for Our Lady of Sorrows which is on September 15th. 

August 15th consider a 54 day Rosary Novena for any intention. Feast day is October 7th.

August 18th consider a novena to St. Monica for conversion, especially of loved ones, for an increase in faith, for those suffering from addiction, and for difficult marriages. Feast day is August 27th.

August 19th consider a novena to St. Augustine for conversion, especially of loved ones. Feast day is August 28th.

August 27th consider a novena to St. Teresa of Calcutta to bring Christ's light to those who suffer. Feast day is September 5th.

August 30th consider a novena to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary for marriage and family. Feast day is September 8th.
