Not Enough Tme

"THE PROBLEM OF NOT ENOUGH TIME     'I’d really like to do mental prayer, but I don’t have the time.' How often this has been said! And in a hyperactive world like our own, the difficulty is a real one and should not be underestimated. But time is not always the real problem. That real problem is knowing what really matters in life. As a contemporary author remarked, no one yet has starved to death because they didn’t have the time to eat. We always find (or rather take!) the time to do what really matters to us." page 26

Here is a quote from an earlier blog post:

"An anecdotal account of the conversation between Fr. Benedict and Mother Teresa has been passed down over the years. It goes something like this: Mother Teresa said, 'Father, you need to make sure that your brothers make a holy hour every day.' Fr. Benedict looked at Mother Teresa and said, 'Mother, I don't think we can do that. There's too much work to be done.' Mother Teresa, totally serious and without skipping a beat, said, 'Well then, Father, make it two hours.' When St. Mother Teresa says something, we listen." pg7-8

I am preaching to myself here because I am SOOOO bad about cutting back on prayer time when I am haggard.  When we are feeling stressed, feeling a pressure of time, and just haggard, we NEED to increase our prayer time.

If you are reading this... stop and spend at least one minute in prayer please.

Praise the Lord, the font of life giving waters!
