Prayers for May 2023

    


I will be honest and say this is the first month where I want to do too many novenas!  I want to do one for the gifts of the Holy Spirit, for St. Joan of Arc, and for Corpus Christi.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do.  What are you going to do?

May is the month of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

May 1st consider a novena to St. Damien De Veuster for healing of those with HIV or for those with leprosy. Feast day is May 10th.

May 4th consider a novena to Our Lady of Fatima for the conversion of sinners. Feast day is May 13th.

May 6th consider a novena to St. Dymphna for help with anxiety, for help with depression, or for help with mental illnesses. Feast day is May 15th.

May 6th consider a novena to St. Isidore the Farmer for farmers. Feast day is May  15th.

May 7th consider a novena to St. Gemma Galgani for those who suffer from back pain. Feast day is May 16th (as celebrated by Passionists).

May 9th consider a novena to Ascension of the Lord to prepare for the Feast of the Ascension. Feast day is May 18th.

May 12th consider a novena to St. Eugene De Mazenod for healing of families. Feast day is May 21st.

May 13th consider a novena to St. Rita of Cascia for healing of families, for difficult marriages, for healing of infidelity, for impossible causes, for those who suffer from loneliness and despair. Feast day is May 22nd.

May 17th consider a novena to St. Philip Neri for the gift of humility or for joy.  Feast day is May 26th.

May 19th consider a novena to the Holy Spirit for those that are being baptized or confirmed, for guidance or wisdom in decision making, or for the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Feast day is May 28th.

May 21st consider a novena to St. Joan of Arc for the courage and strength to follow the will of God. Feast day is May 30th.

May 26th consider a novena to the Holy Trinity to honor the Blessed Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Feast day is June 4th.

May 30th consider a novena to the Corpus Christi to celebrate Jesus present in the Most Holy Eucharist. Feast day is June 8th.
