Beauty Reviews: March 2023 Edition

*CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion : I was surprised by this as I thought ultra light would mean not very moisturizing and that's not it at all.  I would definitely use this again.

NYX Pore Filler : This is nice, but at the end of the day I don't think my face looks better for having used this and I loathe how this goes everywhere when trying to dispense it.  No need for extra steps in my morning that don't actually provide any benefit.

Burt's Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream : This is a nice hand cream except that it leaves your hands very oily and this has a POWERFULLY strong smell.  That I don't like because it's so overwhelming.  This took me forever to finish and ended up using on my legs to run through it faster.

Loreal Magic Perfecting Base : I can't really see any difference when using this.  There used to the best pore filling primer from Loreal.  I picked this up thinking it was it and it's not.

Ulta Beauty Tinted Eye Primer : Champagne : I think this works really well, but I don't like how metallic is.  I didn't finish it specifically because of that.  May try another color.

Vichy LiftActiv B3 Serum : Nice, but didn't notice any difference with my skin.

LUS Shampoo : Doesn't matter how the shampoo works.  The packaging is abhorent.  The bottle leaks.  But if you try to squeeze some out, you have to squeeze incredibly hard and very little slowly streams out.  Gah!

Fresh Black Tea Advanced Age Renewal Cream : Really lovely.  Smells like green bananas.  Love it.

Cantu Tea Tree & Jojoba Hair & Scalp Oil : Tossing almost a full container.  First it is petroleum jelly with some ingredients.  Second it's put in a hard squeeze tube.  If it was an oil it would be fine, but it's thick so it's borderline impossible to get out.  And petroleum jelly.  So as it heats up on your scalp it runs everywhere.  Super attractive.

Augustinus Bader The Cream : This was a good sized sample.  It was nice, but for the price I was expecting something beyond nice.  It's just nice and with the price it rounds out to a meh.

Ulta Poreless Face Primer : It's just a primer.  Not sure what it's supposed to do, but it doesn't do that.

*Supergoop Glow Screen : Love this stuff and it lasts a while.  I wish it came it shades, but super nice!

*OGX refreshing scalp + scalp treatment: Absolutely worth it.  Already have the next bottle.  Never have I ever not had really bad flakes until now.

Clean & Clear Lemon Gel cleanser: Nice, inexpensive cleanser.  Not my personal favorite, but if I was limited on money this might be my go to cleanser.

Cake The Curl Friend Curl Cream: Nice.  Nothing out of the ordinary though.  If you haven't found a favorite curl cream you might try this.

La Roche-Posay Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash: Nice.  Don't like it better than my go to cleanser.

Milk Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer: Didn't finish as I didn't see any benefits using this so just a time waster for me.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2: No!  Just no.  Couldn't get past the alcohol smell and drying sensation to use more than a couple times.

Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: Really lovely, but I like the next product just slightly more.

*Herbivore Prism Exfoliating Glow Serum: Absolutely lovely!  I think I like this better than Glow Recipe.

Dior Prestige La Creme:  It's ok.  For the price, no.  Plus it breaks me out.

*Dior Prestige La Micro-Huile De Rose: I really love the smell and the feel of this.  I am not sure I see any improvements in my skin.  But I really love this.
