Guard Your Mind

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a bushel, but on a stand, that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is sound, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.” ~ Luke 11:33–36

Evaluate your media consumption.  Are you listening to music that "raises your blood?" Are you watching news that angers you? Are you watching movies that make you feel lonely, despairing, frustrated? Are you scrolling social media and it leaves you in a state of darkness?

I'm not saying stop consuming... although I find that to be a wonderful detox.  Become a media curator though.  Choose your media to choose your mood or to support the mood that you want to have.  You are the thermostat, not the temperature.  You are the curator.
