The Balance Fallacy

Sometimes our lives are filled with too many moving parts and our to do lists get longer and longer and we are dropping the ball on too many things and we just feel like giving up.

And we feel out of balance.

I think this feeling comes from a couple different places.

1. We believe the lies that there is such a thing as balance and we feel we are wrong once again.  We compare ourselves.  We think someone is doing life better than us.

2.  Our spirits are telling us it is time to refocus on something else.  Work has been a priority and now it's time to shift gears and give our spirits some attention for example.  This is a good thing.

3.  We are sick.  This is our bodies telling us it is time to refocus on something else.  Work has been a priority and now it's time to shift gears and give our bodies some attention for example.  I'm not sure if this is a good thing.  Usually this comes as a last resort because we've ignored all other signs.  Wake up and listen!

You can successfully give your attention to one thing at a time.  What is going to be your main priority moving forward.  It can't be work AND family AND self.  Outsource what you can, automate what you can, and focus on one thing.

You got this.
