Feeling Lost?

If you are feeling lost, finding it difficult to find traction in your life, or struggling to create your goals for this year, try this exercise.  Heck, do it as a time capsule thing for no other reason than doing it.

Write a letter about how you've improved your life from your best self to yourself now.

Imagine your best self 5 years from now, or 10 years from now, or even just a year from now.  If your best self was guiding your life for that time period, what would your life look like?  How does it look different?  What have you changed?  What has stayed the same?  How do you feel?  What are you wearing?

Clothes matter!  Stop saying it doesn't.  How you look directly impacts how you feel!  But... don't think what your best self would choose would be what society expects.  Maybe it's a uniform.  Maybe it's a particular color.  I digress.

What does your soul feel like when led by your best self?

After you've done this, you can either seal it up and put it somewhere to refer back to or you can use this to generate a vision board, to create a timeline to get there, to create a list of habits and/or goals that need to be achieved to make that happen.

And if this leaves you feeling hopeless, reach out to someone.  Find someone that can help you with this soul loss, that can help you bridge the gap between where you are right now and your best self.
