Big Dreams

Our discussion of big dreams is going to dip back into the past as we continue to build energy and power for the life we want to live. Big dreams are those plans you have in life that make you so excited you have troubles sleeping. You think of each aspect in incredible detail. Your soul feels hopeful.

At one point in my past, I had dreams of building a log cabin in the woods of Michigan. I could tell you what the furniture looked like. What the throw blankets looked like… handmade by me. The artwork would be embroidered loons and other things I would make. I knew what it would smell like and the serenity I would feel at this place. The detail in this dream was so granular.

This is how we each need to dream to help set the vision for our future.

But…

Big dreams change. As we dream these dreams though, we feed them with our energy. We tie up pieces of ourselves as we begin to (usually subconsciously) manifest this dream into reality. And as we dream more and more, we will begin to feel tired. Like we don’t have the energy for our day to day activities and that’s before we even get to putting more energy into the things we are now working towards.

So going back to my Michigan cabin. I unraveled this dream. I thanked it for lighting my soul on fire and I remember that dream with delight, but I see it as one path I chose not to take to take other paths I wanted more. So I unraveled the dream so I could restore my power and energy. I worked on unravelling other dreams I could think of and one’s I couldn’t think of.

Taking back my soul parts and power, I then had the energy towards manifesting a different big dream.

Have you ever wondered why you used to have more energy? Have you ever wondered how you used to dream big, but can’t even find the interest?

Choosing not to go with a big dream isn’t failure! You have to understand this at a soul level. There are so many paths you can take in this “choose your own adventure” called life. You are not a failure because you didn’t manifest a big dream.

Are you claiming big dreams that aren’t yours?

Are you claiming big dreams that are someone else’s?

Are you claiming big dreams because you are supposed to?

Are you claiming big dreams that no longer lead where you want to go?

Do not live your life out of spite. Do not live your life despite your own dreams. Do not live your life for someone else. Do not live your life for your mother.

This is yours. Your one precious gift. Unravel the big dreams that no longer serve you. Give thanks for big dreams that have come to you in the past. Give thanks to your current big dreams. And with awe and reverence, give thanks for the big dreams that have yet to come.
