Baby steps

No need to read this.  This is something I am writing to myself as the little bitch inside me needs to hear this.  No, I am not disparaging myself.  I got my 100% bad bitch self.  And I have my little bitch self.  You got a little bitch self?  Not sure?

Do you ever minimize yourself?  Do you do things you know you shouldn't that set you up for failure?  Like Instagram all morning even though your 100% bad bitch is rearing to go and you can hear that voice and the little bitch is like, nope Instagram is all I need.

Little bitch has been living my life for almost a month now.  Not fully, because I do have some standards.  But my little bitch standards are a freaking joke and I'm finding myself flounder to get the ball rolling again.

How do your get started?  How did I get started in the first place?  100% baby steps.

This week I am running 3 miles a day 4 days a week for a total of 12 miles.  I started with a 5 minute walk.  Is a 5 minute walk too much?  Set a goal to simply put a pair of shoes on and walk to the front door.  If you are able bodied, you can do this!  If you aren't able bodied, relate this to something within your framework.

If your goal is to put on a pair of shoes and walk to the front door.  And you do this every day for a a week, 2 weeks, a month, whatever time frame you need, you will have built up a chain of successes that fuel future success.

Straight up, this is the easiest way to get started.

Failing at something, make it smaller.  Fail at that, make it smaller.  Make it smaller until it is bite sized and success is guaranteed.  Repeated success FUELS future success.

Having success in something is more important than the size of thing.  Please trust me in this.

Oh, but your whiny bitch comes in and says, but at this pace it will take forever.  Whine, whine, whine.  If you try and fail and don't try again, it won't happen at all.  Stop trying harder than your support system can handle.

I cannot go full out.  Full stop for a month.  And then full out again.  It took time to go full out.  Hopefully I learn this time around that it's immediately back to habits or those happen period, no matter what!

So I'm going to end this here and then next blog post let's talk about breaking things down into bite sizes in case you need some ideas.  And I'd love to hear from you if there is an area that you need chunking up if I don't cover it.

We got this!  100% bad bitch!  Let's GO!
