What feeds your happy?


One way to boost your motivation is the old carrot and stick situation.  But, before you can dangle the carrot, you need to know what your carrots are.

What feeds your happy?  What renews your soul?  What motivates you?

Here are some ideas:
  1. A cup of my favorite tea.
  2. A slow cup of coffee in a quaint coffee shop.
  3. A walk with my husband.
  4. Rolling down a hill with my kids (yes, my teens still love to do this).
  5. A carefully selected divine chocolate treat like a truffle or a candied piece of fruit.
  6. Knitting on the back porch.
  7. Reading a soul feeding book.
  8. Reading fun trash that allows my brain to take a break.
  9. Dancing to a favorite song.
  10. A new pair of fashionable sunglasses.  The kind that makes my kids cringe.
  11. Finishing a run.  The start of the run might not feed my happy.
  12. Finishing my day knowing I showed up my best.
  13. Talking to positive friends about our goals.
  14. Expressing my deep love and admiration to my family.
